Comment/Synopsis

A high class thief (Herbert Marshall) and a pickpocket (Miriam Hopkins) meet each other and fall in love whilst trying to steal from each other. He then gets a job as personal secretary to the rich owner of a perfume company (Kay Francis) and plan to steal from her. They ingratiate themselves into her life and replace her suitors (Charles Ruggles and Edward Everett Horton) as he starts to fall in love with her. As their plan starts to come together, he is exposed for who he really is and he has to choose between the two women. This film reflects the relaxed attitudes to sex in the early 1930's before the advent of the Hayes Code.
